Virginia (Jeanie) Lopez passed away quietly after a short illness on May 7, 2023. She was born in Morenci, Arizona on February 10, 1945. She was the only daughter with 4 brothers who all passed before her. She was an avid lover of music and sang in many bands throughout her life. Later in life, she managed the Kearny Circle K Store and became a beloved member of the community. Her family was the most important thing in her world, and she dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren alike. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her kind heart, sharp wit, and warm smile.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Joseph (Joe) Lopez, her son Joseph Jr., her daughter Jennifer, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Loved beyond words, missed beyond measure.

My beautiful little Nina. I am going to miss you so much. You were my God Mother and boy you sure took on that role beautifully. Nina you loved me through all my mistakes no matter what. You were my biggest cheerleader and had unconditional love for everyone. You were the glue that kept your family together, now you’re gone and I have the biggest hole in my heart. Nina me and Zeke are going to miss you! How will we all go on now? Rest in paradise my beautiful Nina. Until we meet again…Denise & Zeke

Jeanie was one of my favorite cousins. She was pretty, funny and generous. She had a beautiful voice. I wish we had a recording of her voice. Some of my most fond memories are of her and her brother, my cousin Jojo singing in their band, the Stingrays. I will miss her. Sending love and prayers to her loving husband Joe and their family. May God bless you all with grace and strength to see you through this difficult time. Love, Lillian and Tony Paez
