Robbi Rae (Johnson) VanAuken, Age 71, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away on August 18, 2023. Robbi, sometimes referred to as ‘Rob’ was born to parents George & Janis Johnson, on April 8, 1952 of Ames, Iowa.

Robbi graduated from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in 1970.

She went on to explore her interests while studying at Iowa State University and Arizona State University but ultimately decided she was more interested in the ‘school of love and life’. Robbi had an adventurous spirit and she decided to travel and explore other parts of the country. Her journeys landed her in California, Hawaii, Texas and ultimately in Arizona but she always left time for a ‘pit stop’ in Iowa where she refueled on love from her family.

Robbi is survived by her son, Keaton VanAuken, daughter, Amity Maupin, granddaughter, Chevelle Maupin, grandson, Brodie Maupin, daughter, Raina (Maupin) Rios, son-in-law, Hiram Rios, & granddaughters, Azra Rios, Jaela Rios & Kiran Rios.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Janis Johnson of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

Robbi left her mark on the world by stirring up trouble, sharing her contagious laugh, and demonstrating unconditional love to those who knew and loved her.
