Gina Trzebiatowski, 69, of Gold Canyon Arizona, passed away December 18, 2025.

Gina was born on November 28, 1956 to Virginia (Jensen) and Harold Bartel in Waupaca, WI. She was raised in the Weyauwega-Fremont area and spent most of her time on the Wolf River as a Webfooter and participating in many school activities. Many of her fondest memories were spent along the Wolf River with family and friends alike. She took great pride in working at and spending time at Harold’s Mobil station that also controlled the draw bridge over the Wolf River.

On July 4th of 1987, Gina was married to David Trzebiatowski at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. They spent many years together building an unbreakable partnership that included buying and running a campground in Hardin Montana for 11 years. Gina always took great pride in her store and being proactive in the comumunity, never missing an opportunity to hear about someone’s life or experiences. She was always the life of the conversation! Gina and Dave brought their son, Brandon, into this world on October 10, 1987 and she never missed an opportunity to watch, support or talk about how much he meant to them. Gina always said that her greatest achievement was going to be Brandon, and we know she was so proud of the man he has become. This perhaps has only ever been surpassed by the love she had for her grandchildren, Anderson and Margaret; she truly loved those girls to pieces!

Gina worked in the Waupaca school system for many years before moving to Montana in 2013 to run and own a KOA campground with Dave. Then, in 2023 she retired and moved to Gold Canyon, Arizona where she remained until she was unexpectedly called home in December of 2025. Gina always loved the Superstition Mountains and was absolutley smitten with their home that lies just at its base. Although short, Gina valued her time in Arizona and all of the friends (or as she would say — family members) she made along the way.

Gina was preceded in her coronation home by her mother Virginia, father Harold, stepmother Patricia, siblings Kerry and Scott Jensen, brother in law Mike Prahl, mother in law Mary Swenson and father in law Victor Trzebiatowski.

She is grievously missed by her husband David; son Brandon (Heidi) Trzebiatowski with granddaughters Anderson and Margaret; stepdaughter Kristina Trzebiatowski with grandson Kaleb, stepson Brian Trzebiatowski with grandsons Dante and Johnathan; sister Laurie Prahl; nephew Jason (Nikki) Prahl with grandneice Ava and grandnephew Brennan; nephew Jeremy (Becca) Prahl with grandniece Isabelle and grandnephew Nolan; and so many friends (and adopted sons) dear to her heart that we couldn’t possibly have space to name.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to The V Foundation: Victory Over Cancer in Gina’s name to further support the research, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.

As lifelong friends with Gina and Laurie ( Roy Toepke, a member of Laurie’s HS graduation class ; and me Carol, (Leupold) Toepke who was a cheerleader with both Laurie and Gina at WFHS). We were quite taken by surprise as we had no idea that Gina was even sick or hospitalized. We are so very sorry for your loss. It has been a really tough year for Laurie, and our love for her and Gina brought us in attendance to both Mike’s and Harold’s funerals back here in Wisconsin. It was so good to see and talk with Gina at both funerals this past year…now to hear that she too had passed had been devastating news. We are regrettably unable to attend the memorial service, we would have loved to be there for Laurie and yo meet Gina’s family of which she spoke so highly and lovingly. Again, our sympathies for all of you as you say your final goodbyes. We wish you peace, love, and offer prayers. 🙏🙏🙏
