Jerry was born on August 3rd, 1950 in Fargo ND and
was placed up for adoption shortly after his birth. Jerry
was adopted by Gerald and Helen Griffin and resided
with his adopted sister Kathleen until her death in 1959.
They eventually moved to Norwalk California where he
attended Corvallis Junior High and Norwalk High
School. Jerry graduated in 1969 and then attended
Cerritos Junior College until his induction into the
United States Air Force in 1970.

After Basic Training Jerry was stationed at George Air Force Base in Victorville, California and then was transferred to Anderson Air Force Base in Guam where he supported combat operations in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. In November of 1973 he married Mary Robinson. in 1974 he was discharged from the Air Force and transferred to the Air Force Reserve. That same year he started his civilian service with the 82nd Civil Engineering Squadron at Williams Air Force Base in Mesa Arizona. After some time while still working at Williams Air Force Base Jerry transferred to the Arizona Air National Guard and was assigned to the 107th Air Control Squadron in Phoenix, AZ. While still assigned to the 107th ACS Jerry started with the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1987 at the Fort Huachuca Resident Office. He was in Regulatory before switching to Construction. During his time at Fort Huachuca, Jerry worked on several projects that were related to helping the Army’s intelligence program for the region. He also volunteered for flood fighting in Yuma, Arizona. In 1995 Jerry accepted a position in the Arizona Roadrunner office in Mesa, AZ. Shortly after that, he took a position at the Arizona/Nevada Area Office as Electrical Support in the Construction Division. While in this position, Jerry worked on several prominent projects in Florence Junction, AZ for ICE and several Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) projects. The BIE and BIA projects including fire alarm replacement in several schools along with overseeing several schools that were built through the Army Corps of Engineers. After 43 years of government service Jerry retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers in
2013.

In 2017 Jerry found his biological family and connected with his biological siblings David, Donald, Jay, Don, Dean, Karen and Keith closing a 69-year search for answers.

Jerry is survived by his wife Mary and his children Michelle, Jerry and Clinton.
