Ella Maureen Hill-Carver, 80 years, of Apache Junction, AZ passed away June 23rd 2018 in Apache Junction. Mrs. Hill-Carver, a communications facilitator. Was born in Prescott but raised in the Verde Valley. Survivors are her five children, Bill (Debbie) Hill, Jerry (Brenda) Hill, Karen Tulin, Kathy (Britt) Batty, Kevin (Jody) Hill; her siblings, Jeanne (Bob) Hardy, Kenneth (Helen) Brown, Floyd (Helen) Brown, Laverne Basham. She has six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren with two more on the way. There are many nieces nephews and others who will miss her love of family and charity for them. Mom was loving, caring, and forgiving. But she was also very competitive. No one had better kids, grandkids, brothers and sisters. She propped all of us up so high you had to do better. We loved her and will miss her presence but not her love. Her love will always be a part of our lives and this world. A small family service will be held 1:00 PM Friday June 29th at Superstition Funeral Home, 398 E Old HWY Apache Junction, AZ 85119.

Dear family of Maureen,. Please know we are thinking of all of you in the loss of your mom, grandma, sister…and friend. My prayers are with you for the peace and love of Christ Jesus to be with all of you, to sustain you and strengthen you. So glad I got to meet Maureen at Elisha’s wedding and spend many wonderful hours with her. She had such a beautiful smile. She seemed like a very dear lady. I know you will miss her and miss her yearly trips to spend a week with each of you. What cherished memories you will have of those times. I will be thinking of all of you Friday. Safe travels to all of you also.

To the sweetest mother anyone can ask for! You taught me so much in life how to be a great mother grandmother and to be kind like you were to everyone. I wish I could be there for you but life goes on. And you would just tell me not to make you cry. Love you with all my heart and Thank you for being the greatest mom for me when I need to cry on your shoulder. Love you Karen.

  3. Elaine says:

Hi! My name is Elaine and I am a friend and neighbor of LaVerne. And I just have to say that I have never seen as much love and caring in one family as this one. The parents of all these children and grandchildren did an awesome job!

  4. LaVerne Basham says:

Your were a good sister, friend and confidant. I miss you but you will never be gone to me because you will always be remembered and loved. I have memories that will continue and I know my youngest grandchildren and your grandchildren will know who you were . Thank you for all you did for me. Love LaVerne
