Dusti LyRhae Shuck Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Dusti LyRhae Shuck. Our beautiful Dusti lost her battle with alcoholism on August 4, 2017, at the age of 41, while surrounded by her family and prayers from her loved ones.

Dusti was driven by a feisty spirit that drove her down life’s path at a fast pace. She met the challenge of life as she did everything else, she grabbed it by the horns and held on tight.

Her passions in life were simple; her family, her fur babies, her friends, and dancing.

Dusti was the baby of the family. The daughter of a hard working cowboy and his cowgirl bride. She learned early on to apply their simple country lessons to her own life and enjoyed helping others as her parents did. Her loyalty and protective spirit was proudly shone when she talked about her loved ones. They meant the world to her and she tried to always let them know how much she cared.

After her family, she absolutely adored her animal babies and by golly, they adored her! It was not uncommon to see her pushing pugs around the park in a stroller or hear her squealing out “where’s the babies,” as she walked in the house.

Dusti’s list of friends reaches straight back to her childhood. She was a great friend to so many because she shot straight. She wasn’t soft spoken by any means; she had no problem telling you her opinion, and she did. We all knew that she was about to lay down the law as soon as we heard those five words; “Let me tell you something!” She gave great advice though and although her words were blunt, they were spoken with love.

Lastly, dancing. That woman spent so much of her life spinning and twirling that I doubt there’s a floor between Arizona and Mexico she hasn’t touched. She loved to two step and she was good at it! Her dad was her favorite dance partner and she always smiled brightest when he was holding her hand.

Dusti is survived by her boyfriend, Raul Valenzuela; her three siblings and their spouses, Gina (Dale) Lowery, Malcom (Shelly) Shuck, and Clark (Brooklyn) Shuck; four nieces, Kaila, Logan, Kelsey, and Kalyn; three nephews, Jarrod, Mal, and Caleb; two great nephews and one great neice, Bryson, Jett, and Lynnie; and her three fur babies, Bendi Rae, Bumper Edward, and Fiona.

She is preceded by her father, Gene Shuck; her mother, Barbara Shuck; her sister-in-law, Kimberly Shuck; and many adored animal babies.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Raul Valenzuela and his family for being a special part in Dusti’s life and for helping extend her time with us through some of the worst of her battle.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 6:00pm at Villages at Rancho El Dorado Clubhouse, 20991 N Butterfield Pkwy, Maricopa, AZ 85138.
