May 8, 1940 – November 13, 2024

84 years young

Don was born in the Bronx (New York). He graduated High School from Mastic, New York and join the United States Air Force July 28,1959 and was honorably discharged July 3, 1963. His specialty was Air Policeman.

He had a full career of Law enforcement work. From patrol officer in New York to Arizona Highway Patrol and eventually retiring as sergeant from Pinal County sheriff office. Don loved spending time with  family, traveling, and fixing things around the home. He loved to cause laughter and sharing good jokes or tales. Don cherished his sonship to Father God through his faith in Jesus Christ and lovingly worked beside his wife in ministry for many years. He clarion call was “You need Jesus”.

He shall (Surely) be missed! We love him! Until we meet again!

Don is survived by his wife Phyllis Kay Klimczak, his children, Donald Flynn,  John Flynn, Darlene Lee, and Scott Klimczak. His stepsons John O. Suniga and Chad M. Suniga, eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Also his brother Howard Klimczak and numerous nieces and nephews: Robert Klimczak, Gina Klimczak, Bryan Klimczak,  Peter Klimczak, Trudy Hernandez.

He is preceded in death by his brother Robert E. Klimczak (9/17/1981) his mother, Minnie Mildred Klimczak (1/11/1989), his father Peter (Pete) Klimczak (3/31/1991).

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in affliction, with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by our God.”

2 Corinthians 1: 3-4

There will be a niche side placement for Don at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 6th 2024 @ 11am. Located at 7900 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85207.

    My wonderful friend Don was a super special man who loved Jesus and his precious wife Kay. He also loved lemon meringue pie! I’m sure he’s rejoicing and waiting for Jesus to come to get us all. He’s probably talked to my late husband Blan , saying “we beat the girls here(Pat n Kay)but they will join us for all eternity!! He’s surely going to be missed..

    I am so sorry for the family’s loss. I did not know Don personally very well, but I do know he has an amazing, kind, wonderful family. He will be missed by some awesome people.

    Don was so nice and he was well loved by people at Haven Health. He was very quiet a lot of the time but he was a man of prayer and he would go out of his way to help. He was also an encourager.
