William Arthur Hewett, 94 years of age, moved along on Friday December 26, 2025.

William (Bill) was born on July 30, 1931 in Pontiac, Michigan to Russell and Geneva Hewett. He was the youngest of three sons. He graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit.

Bill married the love of his life, the late Judith J. Jones, in 1950 and three children were born from their union. Bill professed his life to Christ at an early age. The family moved to Auburn Heights around 1956 and he joined the Pontiac Christian Science Church.  He loved being a member of the church, where he became a First Reader. Bill loved to study the Bible and the Science and Health. He was a Practitioner working with others to study and heal. He was a loving and caring person, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend to many always. He would say his faith guided him through life.

Bill was an entrepreneur in the window and siding business. He first owned Metro Aluminum Products, Inc. and then Advanced Window Systems, which eventually became The Hewett Company. He was self employed for almost 60 years.

Bill and Judy were married for 67 wonderful years. They eventually bought a house in Arizona, where they split their time between Michigan and their new home out west, overlooking the majestic Superstition Mountain.

Bill leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, Valery Kinney (Stan), James (Ann) and Scott (Brenda), his five grandchildren (Danny, Traci, Amy, Clinton and Emily) and two great grandchildren (Beth and Nicholas).

Bill was a very generous man. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a local charity of your choice or donating to the First Church of Christ Scientist in Mesa, Arizona or Rochester, Michigan where he was a proud member.

A Celebration of Life will take place in Michigan in the spring of 2026.

Grandpa was a strict, yet fun, strong and also tender. He was a wonderful patriarch of our family. I will miss him and I will remember all of his lessons, the talks and laughs we shared. I love you.
