Richard Lee “Dick” Seifert, 80, of Apache Junction, Arizona entered eternal life Saturday, March 16, 2024. Dick was born July 6, 1943, at home in Carroll, Ohio, to Pearl F. and Mabel E. (Judy) Seifert.
Dick grew up on the family farm and graduated from Rushcreek Memorial High School in 1961. In 1962 he married Donna Nutter from Lancaster, Ohio, and they had three children. Donna survives. He later married Kathie Hill from West Unity, Ohio, and she survives. Dick spent his last years with his companion, Peggy Sandven, from Apache Junction, Arizona. She entered eternal life on October 17, 2022.
Dick worked primarily as an auto mechanic and truck driver. His hobbies included stock car racing, motorcycling, target shooting, camping, and silversmithing.
Dick is survived by children Susan Shirk, Kristi (Robert) Rynes, Marc (Andrea) Seifert, Lorie Ceal, Damon Seifert, and Haley Seifert; grandchildren Dylan Seifert, Erick (Kasey) Roth, Isaac (Kassie) Roth, Ryker Seifert, Jordan Rynes, Jamie Cooper and Jonathan Cooper; great grandchildren Brady Roth, Hazel Roth, and Ella Roth; siblings Margaret (Richard) Shumaker, Ruth Boyer, Franklin (Terry) Seifert, and many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law Kevin Shirk; and siblings and in-laws Perl (Shelley) Seifert, Helen (Eugene) Haffey, and Robert Boyer.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date at Greenfield Township Cemetery, Carroll, Ohio.
