It is with profound sorrow that we shared the passing of Marissa Jeanne Gregory, who left us on November 20, 2025, after a courageous and inspiring battle with stage 4 cancer.

Marissa’s life, though tragically brief, was a shining testament to strength, love, and creativity. She faced her illness with remarkable bravery and grace, touching the hearts of all who knew her with her unwavering spirit and kindness. As a devoted fiancé, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, and friend. Marissa’s laughter and warmth illuminated the lives of everyone around her.

A passionate crocheter, Marissa found solace and joy in her craft. Each blanket, scarf, and handmade treasure she created reflected her generous heart creative soul-gifts of comfort and love that will be treasured forever.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Kyla Vargeson, who will carry forward her mother’s light and legacy. Marissa is also survived by her fiancé, Hunter Vargeson; her mother, Pamela Larson; her father, Michael Gregory; her sisters, Stacy and Emma; as well as her stepparents and grandparents, all of whom hold her memory close.

Though Marissa is no longer with us, her spirit lives on-in every stitch she crafted, every smile she inspired, and every life she touched.

Her threads of love continue to wrap around Kyla’s life, weaving a legacy of warmth, creativity, and enduring connection. May the love, Marissa poured into every stitch inspire Kyla to embrace her own creativity and strength, carrying forward a beautiful legacy of hope and resilience.
