Our dear mother, Joyce Anne Jacobs went to her eternal rest on October 26, 2024. Joyce was born on March 25, 1938, in Glendale, West Virginia.  Her parents were Brady Leland Gray and Evelyn Mae (Howard) Gray of Viola, West Virginia.

Joyce is survived by six children, daughters Karen Stowers, Lois Mosley, JoEllen (Merlin) Dudley, Frannie Metcalfe (Skip Harding), Kelly Harper (Myra Leslie) and son Lloyd (Michelle) Harper, dear friend Dawn (Duane Harris) Johnston, sixteen grandchildren, Clint (Meredith) Mosley, David (Dawn) Mosley, Robert (Stephanie) Barnes, Laura (Darrell Pardue) Barnes, Valerie (Christian) Beuschlein, Bernie (Melisa) Harper, Aliscia (Jesse) Herrera, Tyler Harper, Gabrielle Harper, Duane (Nicole) Harper, Jennifer Harper (Robert Goddard), Thomas (Brittney) Harper, Andra (Ashlee) Ramage, Brittany Ramage, Ethan Harper, and Sam Harper.  Thirty-five great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Ian and Jesse Mosley, Jacob and Lucy Mosley, Alyssa, Kaytlyn, Jayde and Saydee Barnes, Skylar, Taylor, and Austin Young, Aron Pardue, Sarah Harper, Nate Beuschlein, Diane, Michael and Elsie Harper, Adam and Whitney Perez, Victoria and Olivia Herrera, Luke, Leland and Addison Harper, Luke, Logan and Leela Harper, Brilee and Bentley Harper, Levi Thomas, Marek, Dean, Eve and Devin Ramage and great-great-grandson Slade Barnes. Sister Sharon (Steve) Vargo, brothers Donald (Carolyn) Gray, Russell (Kathy) Gray and Allan (Kenny Rose) Gray.

Gone before her beloved husband Joe Alton Jacobs, son Bernard Harper, grandson Bryan Barnes, sons-in-law Robert Barnes and Jon Stowers, brothers Robert Gray, Brady Gray and John Gray, her sisters, Helen McWhorter, Judith Savich, and Donna Icard.

Mom and Jake loved to spend time with family, garden, travel and research genealogy.  Their love and devotion to each other was an inspiration to all of us.

    Very few people in this life are fortunate enough to have a Grandma like you! I have so many great memories because of you. Thank you Grandma for all the hugs, the love you gave your family, for being our rock and teaching us to be the people we are today!
