Floyd K. Ogden Sr. peacefully passed away on April 4th, 2025. Floyd was born on June 26th, 1947 to Marchina and Curtis Ogden. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Diane, his son, Floyd Jr., and three daughters: Wendy, Kim and Lisa. He has 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Floyd had a large family of 11 siblings of which 5 preceded him in death – Curtis Jr., Terry, Ron, Chris, and Cindy. Floyd leaves behind 6 siblings: Gary, Ray, Janet, Claudia, Sharon and Debbie.

Floyd originally lived in the Spokane, Washington area and was a firefighter for over 30 years. He moved to Apache Junction, AZ after retirement over 24 years ago.

Floyd enjoyed many sports and hobbies over the years including golfing, fishing, hunting, baseball, pottery, jewelry-making, and painting.

He was a master storyteller and jokester that everybody knew and loved. Floyd and Diane were notorious Karaoke attenders and casino visitors with Floyd winning many pots and raffles.

Floyd was funny, entertaining, and had many friends. He will be missed by all. A celebration of life will be held on July 12 @ 1pm at the Chattaroy Church, Chattaroy, WA and followed by a celebration at Deer Park Golf Club at 3pm in Deer Park, WA. Details will be posted to Facebook and Ogden Family Group. A celebration of life will be arranged in Apache Junction, AZ in the Fall of 2025.

    Floyd was larger than life ! He had a warm heart and loved to tell stories. He was a loving husband . We will miss him at Weaver’s Needle and cherish our friendship and memories. RIP .

    Floyd was the 1st person we met at Weavers Needle RV Park. He helped us park our 5th wheel & we all laughed that he had just saved our marriage. We met Diane the next day and became forever friends. Floyd had the most wonderfully warped sense of humor & gave the best hugs. We love you Diane. Praying for comfort in the wonderful memories you and Floyd made together.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Floyd ‘s passing. My one year at Weaver’s needle was one. I will never forget. Floyd and Diane always drove about 10 o’clock over to the dog park to make sure I got home safely with my little dog. he was a very kind and loved man.

    Floyd & Diane were one of the first people I met when I arrived at Weavers Needle.. He made me feel protected & secure with his watchful eye & sense of humour. He was so kind & thoughtful & always had a story to make me a chuckle. He will be greatly missed by his many friends in Az & his family. RIP my friend.

    Floyd was the first person we met @ Weaver’s Needle. He helped park our rig and told us all about the park. Floyd and Diane were our instant friends and yes, the stories and jokes he came up with would put a smile on anyone’s face. So sad to loose such a great friend.     Floyd, Was really aged person. He gave his life to helping others in the field and in dispatch. I spent many days and nights as one of the three “Spokane County fire service Area Coordinators”. I spent time in dispatch at 3:00 am and at 3:00pm. All of the folks that I worked with were first/top grade as was, Floyd. I am happy to talk with anyone from the family.

    I am so sorry at his loss, all I can say is God Bless Floyd, and all that he loved!
