Michael R. Jones, 68, of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away on March 21, 2026. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Mike’s life was defined by his steadfast faith and his deep love for his family.
Born on April 17, 1957, in Mason City, Iowa, Mike was the son of the late Robert and Lucille Jones. He grew up in Iowa, moving to Chicago shortly after graduation. He spent 39 years in sales with Cargill’s meat division, where he was respected by colleagues for his dedication to the agriculture industry and his ability to build lasting professional relationships.
Mike was a man of great character who shared 45 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, April M. Jones. Together, they built a life centered on family and service. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and proud member of Christ’s Church of the Valley in Queen Creek, where he found great joy in his community and his walk with Christ.
He is survived by his wife, April Jones and their children, Michelle (Duncan) Brammer and Bryan (Ana) Jones. He was a doting Grandpa to Caitlyn and Madison Brammer, and Luka Jones, all of whom brought immense light to his life.
He is also survived by his five siblings, Bob (Carmela) Jones, Jim (Carol) Jones, Linda (Hersch) Wellman, Doug (Michelle) Jones, and Bill (Jayanthie) Jones, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucille Jones, and his brothers, Russell and Denny Jones.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on his birthday, April 17th, 2026 at 9:00AM at Christ’s Church of the Valley, located at 23805 S. Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek, AZ 85142.
