Barbara Joan Mattison passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2025 in Chandler, AZ. She was born in Delhi, MN to Arne and Irene Mattison on December 21st, 1936. Barbara grew up living the farm life, around horses, chickens and many other animals. She was planting gardens, and having many chores to do daily on the farm. But a highlight was selling eggs they collected from their chickens, and then she could go to the movie theatre or get ice cream.

In 1955, she married Duane Kramer (div 1982) and had 2 children; Brian and Pam. Barbara worked while living on the farms and raising turkeys. In 1975, she went back to work with the telephone company in Willmar, then transferring to Arizona in 1978. Where she worked until retirement in 1999.

After retirement she enjoyed road trips many times going back to MN to see relatives, and visiting; Colorado, Branson, Mo, and California. She bought a condo in Payson, AZ to enjoy the cooler summer months there, while always exploring the stat of AZ. She was a free spirited, independent woman!

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; Arne and Irene Mattison, and her son Brian. She is survived by her daughter Pam Kramer, grandson Andy (Sidney) Kramer, great-granddaughters Penelope and Charlotte, brother Roger (Carol) Mattison, and her Dearest Best Friend of over 70 years, Maxine.

She was a quiet woman, but her greatest joy was the birth of her grandson, and then later her 2 great-granddaughters. She always got a kick out of her great-granddaughters making her laugh! Grandma “Barbie”, as the girls called her. She will be greatly missed.

Arrangements were cared for by Superstition Funeral Service located at 398 East Old West Highway, Apache Junction, AZ 85119.
