September 14, 1937 – February 13, 2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Miguel Miranda, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 87. A man of deep roots, unwavering dedication, and boundless love, Miguel leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
Born in Florence, Arizona, on September 14, 1937, Miguel took great pride in his Mexican heritage and the history of his home state. A true historian at heart, he was a passionate genealogist and an expert on all things Arizona, ensuring that the stories of his ancestors and the land he loved would never be forgotten. His knowledge of the past enriched the lives of all who had the privilege of learning from him.
Miguel proudly served in the United States Air Force, exemplifying honor, resilience, and service. His heart belonged to the Arizona desert, especially the mystical Superstition Mountains, where he found solace, adventure, and inspiration. Whether sharing stories of lost treasures or simply marveling at the beauty of the land, Miguel carried a deep connection to the place he called home.
He is survived by Rosemarie Miranda, his seven children, 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, two siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. Though he will be deeply missed, we find comfort knowing that he is now reunited in heaven with his beloved parents and siblings who passed before him. His spirit will live on in the stories he preserved, the lessons he passed down, and the family he built with love and dedication.
A funeral service will be held at Superstition Funeral Home on February 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a celebration of Miguel’s life will take place at Read Hall Community Center located at 320 N. 55th place, Mesa AZ, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor his incredible journey. A life so rich in history, love, and adventure does not truly end—it echoes on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest well, Dad. Your love and legacy will never fade.
Well said. The only thing I would add is he is survived also by 2 great great grandsons,) 🌵
Sorry to hear the sad news. RIP honorable Air Force Veteran
We didn’t know Miguel personally, only through David And Darryl who we’ve known for 36 plus years. Some of the stories they would share were really funny. Especially how his mom and dad ending up in the same facility and some of the funny things that would happen in there between the two of them. We knew how much he liked to draw and how he loved his cookies, We are happy to share this day with family and friends and hear more of the stories throughout their lives. He is home now. Love Jeff and Jeff
Wishing peace for the Miranda family during these trying times. You all are in our prayers.
I am sending all of the Miranda family my condolences as you honor a man who truly created a beautiful legacy. Miguel was a father and grandfather who loved his family. I never met him though I wish I did-though a part of me knew him vicariously through his incredible granddaughter, Tabitha Miranda who loved her grandfather fiercely. My heart goes out to all who mourn Miguel Miranda. I know how much he will truly be missed but I also know how much he was truly loved by his family in this life and that is what he takes with him, love. I wish you all comfort and peace during this time. All my respect,
Allyson
