We are sad to announce the passing of Dorothy Ann (Reisinger) Dunlap of Apache Junction, AZ on December 23, 2023. Dorothy was born in Lisbon, OH on May 16, 1929. Her parents were Ernest Reisinger and Grace (Sisler) Reisinger. Dorothy lived a long and full life and she passed away at the age of 94 at Joyful Living, a lovely, caring, senior group home soon after she took up residency there. Her loving family was with her throughout the day of her death as they were leading up to her final days. She was very much loved and will be missed terribly. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard (Dick) Dunlap and son, Ronald Dunlap (Katie). Dorothy and her family resided in Canton, OH and Atwood Lake (near Sherrodsville, OH) prior to her move to Arizona in 1988. Dorothy is survived by her children Richard Dunlap (Cathy) of Canton, OH, Sandy Rowe, Robert Dunlap (Nora), Marianne Dunlap, Cristopher Dunlap (Debbie), and Scott Dunlap (Abigail), all of which reside in and around Apache Junction, AZ. She loved and enjoyed her 39 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Dorothy was quite adept at social media where she loved corresponding with her friends, local family and long-distance family and the grandkids as well.
As per Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no services. Donations may be made to Stillwater Hospice Phoenix, Arizona. The caring, compassionate, hospice team that attended to our mother made her final days more comfortable, painless, and peaceful.
