Annamae Sterrett was born on March 15th, 1927 in Springfield, Illinois and raised by her adoptive parents in Butte, Montana. She attended Butte public schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1945 (Go Bulldogs). She attended St James Hospital School for Nursing graduating in 1948. Following graduation, she worked in hospitals in Great Falls and Havre, Montana. She married Richard Sterrett in Butte, Montana in 1948 and moved to Havre, Montana where they operated a dairy farm most of their married life. They raised two daughters Jane and Kay during this time. In 2022 she moved to Mesa, AZ to be closer to her daughters.
Annamae was preceeded in death by her parents Marvin and Dora Sterrett, husband Richard, brother Charles and grandson David. She is survived by daughters Jane (Harley) Brakey and Kay (Thomas) Jochim both of Mesa, AZ, grandsons Corey Jochim of Mesa and Logan Stoner of Minot, ND and granddaughter Amy Sauer of Kalispell, MT along with six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Memorials can be made to the charities of your choice.
