Lori Jean Kunz, nee Lumby, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2019 at the age of 56 after a four-year battle with inflammatory breast cancer.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1962 in Kansas City and attended St. Mary’s High School. She later lived in Thousand Oaks, CA for 14 years before spending the last nine-plus years of her life in Arizona.

Lori was a devoted wife, sister, aunt and friend, but her biggest pride came from being a mom. She put her heart and soul into her family, never missing a sporting event and always finding time to make dinner awhile encouraging her sons to chase their dreams.

She was an avid fan of the Chiefs and enjoyed simple days on the lake with family and friends.

Lori is preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Lon; son Kyle; brother Gary and an aunt Alice.  She is survived by Richard, her husband of 22 years, sons Eric and Ryan, sister Lou (Greg) Parish, brother Jerry (Janet) Lumby and nephews Justin, Jackson and Josh.

A visitation will be held at 3 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Superstition Cremation and Funeral Service at 398 E Old West Hwy, Apache Junction, AZ 85119 with a service following.  Lori has asked that in-lieu of flowers, donations be made to The IBC Network Foundation  or to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation
