Leonard L. Southworth Obituary
Leonard L. Southworth, 74, passed away May 24, 2017 in Apache Junction, AZ. Mr. Southworth was born in Oceanside, CA on September 11, 1942 to Leonard W. and Eva B. (Lawrence) Southworth.
Leonard served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, from which he retired. He then went to work for Bell Helicopter, Hughes Aircraft Company, McDonnell-Douglas, and then eventually retired from Boeing.
Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Leonard and Eva; his brothers, Jack, Bud, and Leslie; and one sister, Eva.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara Lyman of CA and his two sons, Lance D. (Florine) Southworth of San Tan Valley, AZ, and their son Jason of Tacoma, WA and Wade L. (Barbara) Southworth of Germany, and their daughter Vanessa (Phillip) of Germany. He is also survived by multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Leonard was a devoted family man and he loved everything trikes. He will be greatly missed.
My condolences on the loss of your father. I kept in touch with him earlier this year via email and he said he was ready to be with Barbara when the time came. Knowing they are both together, has to bring some solace. I sent a memorial card to the Broadway residence for all of you and hopefully it will arrive after the Memorial Day weekend.
