Valerie Ann Browne, 72, of Apache Junction, Arizona passed away on September 27th, 2025.

She was a cherished and loved daughter, sister, friend, and pet mom and will be deeply missed. She had a beautiful smile that lit up the room.

Valerie was born in 1953 in Flint, Michigan to Albert Charles Browne and Betty Arlene Hetherington Browne. She was baptized at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Lapeer, Michigan

Valerie spent her early years in Lapeer, Michigan attending kindergarten at the Farmer’s Creek one-room schoolhouse in Metamora. The family then moved to Southern California where they lived for a number of years. She graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography. While an undergraduate Valerie had wonderful experience participating in World Campus Afloat/Semester at Sea and traveled to many countries. After graduation, Valerie worked in the insurance business until she retired. She lived in Arizona for a number of years enjoying family and life.

Her passions were a love of cooking, decorating, reading, traveling, taking care of her pets, and her family and friends.

Valerie is survived by her mother Betty Arlene, her sister Janet Louise Browne and her brother Gerald Allen Browne, and her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Valerie was preceded in death by her beloved father Albert Charles Browne and her beloved brother Edward Albert Browne.

We will cherish her memory forever. Rest in peace.

Funeral services will be held in Michigan at a later date.
